The President of the Republic recently received in two separate audiences a special envoy from the Libyan guide, Muamar Khaddafi and that of the President of Benin, Boni Yayi. The Libyan leader’s special envoy, Abdel-Hakim Elmahdi Alshirif, was bearer of Muamar Khaddafi’s invitation to President Paul Biya to attend the Africa-Arab summit in October and the Africa – Europe summit in November. Both summits are scheduled to take place in Libya. President Paul Biya later received in audience the special envoy of the President of Benin, that country’s Minister of Defence, Issifou Kogui N’douro. The special envoy from Benin was bearer of a sealed message from President Boni Yayi of Benin to President Paul Biya of Cameroon. |
