The June plenary session which is the second ordinary session for the year 2010 has ended with a number of bills adopted. The session was consecrated to questions on Government’s communication policy, the penitentiary and the judicial system, transport and electricity as well as access to potable water. Precedence was also given to the dismal performance of the Cameroon national team, the Indomitable Lions during ongoing FIFA world Cup in South Africa. During closing ceremony which was described by members of parliament as a marathon session, three bills were adopted. The people’s representatives examined and adopted the bill to amend and supplement certain provisions of Law N° 2001 of 16th April 2001 on the Mining code. The final report on the bill was first adopted at the Production and Trade committee of the National Assembly after deliberation in commission. The bill was defended at the assembly by the Minister in charge of Mines, Badel Ndanga Ndinga. |
